✔️ No Project Helping or Spark programs will be ending as a result of the merger. We will be combining our efforts and our people power to grow and expand our existing programs and services.

❓What will happen with the Spark the Change brand?

✔️ We’re bringing all our programming under the Project Helping umbrella while keeping the Spark brand alive. All Spark programming will continue as a ‘Spark by Project Helping’ program. We are joining forces to better serve our volunteers, partners, and communities.

Note: Both Project Helping and Spark will maintain their own independent EINs and 501(c)(3) statuses. Spark will operate as a subsidiary of Project Helping.

❓How will the organization ensure both missions and values remain aligned?

✔️ Both organizations were born out of a need for accessible community volunteerism and mental wellness resources. By combining our expertise, we can expand access to volunteer-driven wellness programs while staying true to our core principles. We will:

• Prioritize the voice of our volunteers, partner organizations, and community members in the transition to ensure the merger strengthens—not dilutes—our shared mission.
• Collaborate closely at the leadership level to integrate our goals while maintaining our core values of meaningful volunteerism, mental wellness, and community connection & impact.
• Assess existing programs to ensure they complement rather than compete, preserving their unique impact while aligning efforts for greater efficiency.
• Implement ongoing assessments to measure mission alignment, with transparent communication about any strategic shifts or new opportunities.
